Sea Urchin is hand dyed on our Icebreaker, an incredibly soft, smooth single ply super bulky weight of merino-nylon blend. A lovely soft medium intensity purple with definite pink tones. The purple sea urchin, Strongylocentrotus purpuratus, lives along the eastern edge of the Pacific Ocean extending from Ensenada, Mexico to British Columbia, Canada. This super bulky will have you creating a smooth, bold creation & getting back to what you were doing in no time. It feels luxurious, but its not, that's just the feeling of taking something practical & getting it done, feeling the adventure & seeing the end of the road. These two skeins were dyed together & are same dyelot. HOWEVER, if you choose to use them for the same project think about alternating rows, etc. as the dye process can still make these quite different from each other.
